Spring in April…and Every Other Month

We finally remembered to take a family photo at the Circuit Assembly in Antigua.
(There was a large white wall opposite us, reflecting a lot of sunlight, thus the squinting. Madi…she just doesn't like having her photo taken.)

Where we came from in South Carolina, USA, we are used to Spring beginning in late March and highlighting in April, but Panajachel is 'land of eternal Spring,' so we are quite accustomed to the climate all year (though there are changes in the rainy and windy seasons). The month of April was full of activity, including a visit from Leiane's mom and a friend from our old congregation, Circuit Assembly in Antigua and a visit from the circuit overseer and his wife. During the month we also had a LOT of visitors, which kept the congregation buzzing and exciting.

I had multiple privileges at the Circuit Assembly – one was conducting the WatchTower summary, and another was being able to have almost everyone in my family give comments.

The architecture and colors of Antigua don't disappoint.

The bright colors and distressed stucco of the buildings of Antigua are a feast for the eyes.

We are working on Sebastian's endurance in the ministry, and this was a good day!

What a great blessing – Lago Atitlán Inglés had three new ministerial servants appointed!

A highlight of the month: Leiane's mom, Vicky, and Antonio, a friend from our old congregation, came to visit.

The Dick family (Lili, wife/mother, not pictured) who were with us for three months. All five in the family are regular pioneers and Stephen is a congregation elder who helped out tremendously, especially in the month of March when the only other elder was gone for the entire month.

Hannah, Olivia and Phoebe were a joy and blessing to the congregation, our family, and our girls in particular. Regular pioneers with zealous spirits and selfless attitudes left an awesome impression on us all.
