Would JULY-ke to Visit the States?

WOW! I can't believe how behind I am in posting to our blog. First off - we're still alive and doing well! This single blog entry is going to cover July 2017 – that's right 2017. To spare myself a bit of time and make sure I actually get a few posts done, I going to keep the prose short and instead infuse it with a bunch of pictures and captions.

July 2017 was a huge month for us, as we were spending nearly the entire month back in the US to see family and friends, attend regional convention and go to pioneer school with my best friend (wife). In the opening picture, we are on a short layover in Fort Lauderdale, Florida until our next flight takes us to Atlanta, Georgia.

One of the first things to do – guys day out with my dad, brothers and Sebastian.
We went to Buffalo Wild Wings for an early dinner and then to see Spider-Man Homecoming!

We attended the 2017 Don't Give Up Regional Convention in Greenville, SC.
Leiane, Sebastian and I wore our matching Guatemalan accessories (hairband, skirt, tie, pocket square).

Sebastian got to spend some quality time with his cousin Selena during the convention.

Sebastian and Herb Settles would normally always wear bowties and get their picture together.
Sebastian wore the tie Leiane made him from native Guatemalan fabric, but we got the photo anyway.

After regional convention, Leiane and I packed up for Braselton, Georgia, where we enjoyed the week-long pioneer service school together for the first time.

Leiane and I at pioneer school. It was like date week for us, on top of being an awesome spiritual provision.
This was probably one of our most favorite 'vacations' ever!

In Panajachel, it is either difficult to find some of our favorite foods, or they are really expensive, so we got a few treats while in the States.

Papa John's pizza.

A right proper steak.

Bloomin' Onion.

We enjoyed some great sushi with good friends.
