Bears In Pana: Day 8

The Kingdom Hall in Sololá – home to one Spanish and two Caqchikel congregations.
Today we were the guests of the Eisenhauers, as they drove us from Panajachel to Xela (pronounced SHAY-luh, also known as Quetzaltenango), a larger city with more diverse shopping. An adventurous and curvy ride, we made it to our destination between an hour and a half and two hours. Our mission: to get a few more things for the house and also determine what things we need to bring from the States when we return for two weeks. (This starting from scratch is interesting; it may actually take a few weeks after we are all here to determine all the things needed for the household.)

Though tiring at an elevation of nearly 8,000 ft, we had a successful day, got some needed items and got to know our new friends better.

Also, three brothers from Georgia, USA arrived today, and though we have not met in person yet, I know they will be a welcome addition to the congregation
